How do I remove my Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2009 from my computer?

Solution

Trend Micro recommends uninstalling Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2009 using the Diagnostic Toolkit.  

 

For instructions on how to do this, please see the steps below:

 

 

1.

Open the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit by selecting your operating system: 

        a. For Windows XP: 

        Click Start > Programs or All Programs > Trend Micro Internet Security Pro > Trend Micro Support Diagnostic Toolkit.

 

 

 

 

 

        b. For Windows Vista: 

        Windows OrbPrograms or All Programs > Trend Micro Internet Security Pro > Trend Micro Support Diagnostic Toolkit.

 

 

 

 

2.

When the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit window appears, go to [E] Uninstall tab and click 1. Uninstall.

 

 

 

 

3.

You will be prompted to take note of your serial number in case you want to reinstall the program. When you are done copying it, put a check mark on I have finished writing down the serial number and then click Next.


4.

Click Uninstall and wait for the program to finish uninstalling.


 

 

 

 

5.

When it is done, you will be prompted to restart your computer. Click Yes for the changes to take effect.
