Trend Micro recommends using the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit to uninstall your program.
For Windows XP, please follow the steps below:
- Go to Start > Run.
- Type “tissuprt” on the Open field, then press ENTER.
Note: You can also go to My Computer or Computer > Local Disc C: > Program Files > Trend Micro > Internet Security, then double-click on the TISSUPRT.exe file.
The Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit window will appear.
- Click the [E] Uninstall tab.
- Click 4. Uninstall.
You will be asked if you want to continue with the program removal.
- Click Uninstall.
- Wait for the uninstallation to finish.
- Click Yes when the removal is complete and you are prompted to restart your computer.
- Wait while your system restarts.
Note: Follow the instructions in solution 1037434 to reinstall Trend Micro Internet Security 16.6 for Dell.
For Windows Vista/ Windows 7:
- Click the Windows Orb.
- Type "tissuprt" on the Start Search field, then press Enter.
The Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit window will show up.
Note: If the User Account Control feature is enabled, click Continue when a prompt will require your permisson to continue running the file.
- Click the [E] Uninstall tab.
You will need to uninstall the firewall first to prevent having problems with the internet connection after the uninstall and restarting your computer.
- Click 3. Uninstall Firewall.
- Follow the prompts to uninstall firewall.
You will be asked to restart your computer.
- Click No.
- Go back to the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit window after uninstalling the firewall.
- Click 4. Uninstall Software.
- Follow the prompts to uninstall the program.
The program will ask you to restart your computer.
- Click Yes.
