Uninstalling Trend Micro Security software using the Diagnostic Toolkit

This article will help you uninstall your Trend Micro Security program using the Diagnostic Toolkit.
To uninstall of the Trend Micro program, follow the steps below:
STEP 1: Download and run the stand alone Diagnostic Toolkit
To uninstall your Trend Micro program using the uninstall tool, follow the steps below:
  1. Click the button below to download the Uninstall Tool:



  2. Double-click Ti_110_win_en_Tool_UninstallTool_hfb0001.exe.
    Click Yes when the User Account Control window appears.
  3. Read and accept the License Agreement, then click Next.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Click Uninstall software.
  6. Type the characters in the field provided.

  7. Click Uninstall. Wait for the uninstallation to complete.

    Note: You may disregard the Windows notification saying to use the Control Panel to remove the program, since the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit will remove all Trend Micro related files from your computer which the Control Panel might have missed.

  8. Click Yes to restart your computer.

    Note: After the restart, the uninstallation should be complete.

STEP 2: Run the Remnant File Remover Tool
To run the Remnant File Remover Tool, do the following:
  1. Download the Remnant Remover Tool by clicking the download button below:.



  2. Double-click Ti_110_win_en_Tool_TMRemnantFileRemoveTool_hfb0001.exe to run it.
    Click Yes when the User Account Control Window appears.
  3. Read and accept the License Agreement, then click Next.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Click OK when warning windows open.
  6. Restart your computer.
